Our goal:

make polyculture big

"Climate change, the unprecedented loss of biodiversity, and the spread of devastating pandemics are sending a clear message: it is time to fix our broken relationship with nature."

EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030

Our goal is as ambitious as it is urgent: a truly sustainable agriculture through polyculture in which nature is not only taken seriously, but leveraged to its full potential.

We are using biodiversity to redefine how we grow food

By supporting farmers to adopt polyculture practices and scaling distribution channels, we allow agriculture to feed more using less: less land, less chemicals, less human intervention, and at same time, preserve species habitats and recover degraded areas.

We rely on nature, science, and people to succeed.

Nature

We let nature work its way  while we work hard to understand it and align agricultural processes to its ecological principles.

Science

We follow the latest developments in science to define the most supportive species combination and field layout.

People

We learn from farmers and support them to adopt and run polyculture fields. We engage with consumers to promote biodiversity in agriculture.

Start
We help permaculture and polyculture #farmers to market their food.

We start with 8 producers from Europe. Please support our idea and the farmers by buying our #products. We are still looking for other producers to supply us.

To effectively shape the future of agriculture, we don't want to act local.

We want to make polyculture big: scalable, economically viable, and community supportive.

It is possible! In fact, polyculture is probably the only way we can use agriculture to revert the critical ecological imbalance in our planet, while meeting our ever growing demand for food.

But how do we get there?

With ideas, with experiments, with collaboration, and scaling successful working approaches.

We follow 3 steps:

Who we are

At Hippybees, we believe there are more sustainable and efficient ways to grow food, and they work with nature, not against it.

By making polyculture the new conventional agriculture, we can address important challenges of our time: loss of biodiversity, food security, and climate change.

We are committed to include biodiversity in agriculture and help to repair human’s relationship with our planet.
